Scan to 3D Plant – Precision, Experience & Teamwork

 

Recently, we worked on a Scan to 3D Plant project where the client required a highly detailed and accurate digital model of their plant facility.

Project Requirement

The client provided us with point cloud data and requested the final model in both Revit and AutoCAD (3D DWG) formats.

Our Approach

We assigned three skilled team members to this project. While the point cloud was generally good, there were some areas where it was not very clear. Despite these challenges, our team worked with great care and attention, modeling every element with precision.

Since we have already modeled similar plants in the past, our experience helped us manage this project effectively. This made the entire workflow smooth and without major difficulties.

Workflow & Tools

  • The entire plant was modeled in Autodesk Revit, which is an excellent software for complex plant modeling.

  • After completing the model, we converted it into 3D DWG so the client could use it in both Revit and AutoCAD.

Timeframe & Details

  • Team Size: 3 members

  • Duration: 12 days

  • Deliverables: Revit + AutoCAD (3D DWG) files
